Hello, It’s So Nice To Meet You!
My name is Lily! Sometimes it can be hard to feel connected even when not being introduced face to face but hopefully this page will shed some insight into the person your going to be working with. I believe communication and connection are so important so let me be the first to say… Hello… and now we’ve started our conversation.
My Story
I was born and raised in Arizona, mostly in northern Arizona, where we get all four seasons and are surrounded by mountains. Though my family and I moved houses a lot growing up, the house I spent the most time in was nestled in the pines and filled with original 1970’s charm. It had turquoise carpet, a dark feildstone fireplace, wood paneling, you know, the works. And, at the time I hated it and even now there are most likely split opinions from those reading this as to whether you love or cant stand the look of such a thing but none the less it was home.
Though I had always had a passion for design, in that home, I developed that passion into a skill. I spent hours on Pinterest, was constantly playing around with photoshop, never stopped drawing and would reorganize my bedroon, and whatver parts of the house my mom would let me decorate, at least once a week.
This led me later to spend my first two years of college studying graphic design. And, although education is supposed to foster our passions, my fear of failure in the field led me to change my degree path halfway through and ended up graduating with a degree in something more structured… architecture. Don’t get me wrong I love architecture and if I ever end up in a posisition to practice it professionally I would probably love that too. But, what the change in degree paths showed me was that what I really loved and was extra good at was the graphic design side of architecture. I had professors and fellow students rave on and on about my presentation designs and my graphic design skills. If I had a dime for ever time someone told me something along the lines of “if you ever choose to do somehting other than architecture, you would do amazing in graphic design” I wouldn’t need to start this business because I wouldn’t need any other income. I would be set.
So, graphic design was worth revisiting. But i would miss the world of the built enviroment too much. So instead of just focusing of graphic design alone i knew i needed to incorporate my architectural experience and settled on doing that through interior design. And to be entirely honest i always liked the interiors design part of my school projects better anyways. And how do i combine those? The answer to that question led me to where i am now. This new direction combines graphic design with interior design to create unique branding for small business that cater to the different needs that make each business so very special.
